Veterinary Assistant
Qualifications:
High School Graduate. Practice experience, Veterinary Technician Student or Pre-Technician preferred. Applicant must demonstrate skills and knowledge necessary to adequately perform required duties. Applicant must be a motivated, team-oriented individual with good English based written and verbal communication skills and physically able to provide quality patient care and customer service. Basic computer skills are necessary as is the willingness to learn and understand patient care and good customer service.
Description:
Duties include basic handling and restraint of patients as well as pets presented for boarding and grooming. Assist and follow direction of the veterinarian, veterinary technician and office staff. Position requires the ability to learn and apply basic laboratory skills and understand certain technical tasks related to patient care. Learning and using medical terminology. Assisting with patient records and client communication tasks. Maintenance of medical equipment and ensuring cleanliness of the facility. Coordinate efforts with other staff to provide high quality patient care and customer service. Part-time or Full-time, 20-40 hours per week. Salary range is $7.00 to $10.00/hr based on individual experience and qualifications. Full-time benefits include paid vacation upon completion of 1 year full-time service, paid personal days and holidays, insurance benefits, retirement plan and veterinary care benefits.

Associate Veterinarian
Qualifications:
Graduate of a college of veterinary medicine accredited by the American Veterinary Medical Association. Actively licensed and in good standing with the State of Missouri as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. Licensed in good standing with DEA and Missouri BNDD. Applicant must be a motivated, team-oriented individual with good English based written and verbal communication skills and physically able to provide quality patient care and customer service as required by employer and dictated by patient needs. Applicant must demonstrate veterinary skills and knowledge necessary to adequately perform required duties. Applicant must possess computer skills of a level to comfortably work in environment utilizing computer based medical records and practice management system.
Description:
Full or part time associate veterinarian position in AAHA accredited general practice caring primarily for dogs and cats. Exotics not currently emphasized but may be included in the practice at the discretion of the associate. Clinical duties include management of outpatient appointments, surgery cases and clinic in-patients. Supervision and delegation of duties of technical and lay staff directly providing patient care. Provide and help coordinate education of support staff regarding veterinary care issues and client communication. Coordinate with other veterinary staff to ensure continuity of patient care. Regularly scheduled weekday hours with rotating Saturday hours. Salary commensurate with skills and experience. Benefits based on level of employment.
